An evening with a comic genius
While weather keep much of the crowd at home, those of us who braved the snow, enjoyed an hour and forty-five minute, non-stop belly laugh. He walked up to the mike, opened his mouth and out flowed jokes. No prompts, no cue cards, no stumbling, just amazing humor, observations and sarcasms. No dirty language, no shock value funnies, just great comedy. I was like 10 Tonight Show monologs, back to back to back. I really can't recall being entertained continually for that long by any performer.
The casino venue at the Nugget was very warm and comfortable. Drinks were plentiful and the seats were nicely padded. We ate at Anthony's Chop House prior to the performance and found the cuisine to be excellent.
Reno is such a comfortable, intimate town. I have always enjoyed my stays here. Much better than LV. People are much friendlier and the dealers always have a great disposition.
